JBSG was started because mission-driven organizations kept asking the same thing: "We need this site to actually work, but we can't spend $30k on an agency build." The big shops wanted enterprise budgets. The cheap tools left them with sites that didn't convert.
So we built the middle option. A studio that takes the design seriously and the ongoing care more seriously. Where the same person who built the site is the one who answers the email when the giving link goes down.
We're building toward a studio that does the slow, faithful work alongside the orgs doing the slow, faithful work. One flat monthly rate. No agency surprises.
Design is in service of the mission, not the other way around. If the brand is gorgeous and the donations don't come through, we've failed.
The church and the non-profit deserve the same quality of work as any premium consumer brand. The Sunday flier should feel as considered as the magazine ad.
